It was against this background that the founding members of School Infra Care NPC (SIC-NPC) identified a need for the tabled initiative towards making a difference in our communities.
ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION
Nationally there is a huge demand for services such as those rendered by School Infra Care NPC.
Today, 25 years since the adoption of the right to basic education for all in our Constitution, there are still enormous disparities in resources with millions of learners being forced to learn in dilapidated schools with wholly inadequate facilities. Positive steps need to be taken to close the resource gap and to improve the quality of education provided to all learners in South Africa. Not only will this further the right to basic education, but it will promote the rights to dignity, equality and good health as well. Education is also one of the recognised social determinants of health. There are clear-established links between adequate education and good health, and these two rights are mutually reinforcing.
Incorporated in January 2015, School Infra Care NPC is a Non-Profit Organization. The organization renovates dilapidated government schools in mainly rural areas by enlisting services of skilled unemployed youth, prisoners eligible for parole and emerging business entities in local communities.
The organization aims to succeed in its operations by interacting with DBE (Department of Basic Education), DCS (Department of Correctional Services), Schools (Beneficiaries), Suppliers, emerging business entities and others relevant stakeholders in order to ensure that it keeps abreast with new product developments, policies and any other information that will result in an improved quality service rendered.
FUTURE PLANS CONTD.
Education in South Africa is a key element of the New Growth Path and the National Development Plan.

In year three, the organization will start rendering services of refurbishing libraries and stocking up laboratories and this will be done with the help of the relevant stake holders.
Legal Entity
SIC-NPC will seek to partner with Government Departments for skills transfer.
School Infra Care NPC is a Non-Profit Company managed by a board of four policy making members. The current board of directors will be liable for all operations and will have full authority over the activities of the organization and they are to meet at least once annually. SIC-NPC has resolved to appoint more board members in the near future in line with future growth of the organization.

School Infra Care NPC will become a leading sustainable Non - Profit Organization that will always strive to make a positive difference in the daily lives of our children and future generations.
